Fashion Show 2012
Save the Date!
Friday, September 28th / Lemp Grand Hall / 6 - 12pm
Live Art, Live Music, Entertainment, Fierce Fashion, Silent & Live Auction
Nibbles, Noshes, Deserts, Cash Bar
7 pm - Come see young fashion designers from fashion design camp model their own creations
9pm - Adult fashion show featuring local designers. 
All proceeds from this event fund our affordable and free programming such as scholarships, tuition reduction, community outreach, and the fashion project.  We need your support, please consider attending this totally unique event

CAM Open Studio Day
Saturday July 28th / 10am - 4pm
SBAP is participating in the Contemporary Art Museums City Wide Open Studio Day 2012.  Come out for the day and see five different artists at SBAP: Tim Bliss, Sarah Rye-Bliss,
Alexandra Quigley Scibetta, Bob Hartzell, and Anna Katz Fafolia

Arty Parties
Did you know that when you host an arty party at SBAP you are supporting our mission to provide affordable and free art education programs and projects.  Proceeds raised from arty parties directly fund SBAP's abiltiy to provide quality community outreach.  Birthdays, anniversaries, showers, girls night out, meetings, occasions are endless.....


SOLESU Young Artist Show
One of South Broadway Art Projects sponsors is Sole Survivor Art Gallery on Main Street in downtown Belleville.  SOLESU is hosting a FREE young artist exhibit for young people ages 16-35.  Please click here for more information and to apply.


Coffee Talk Creatives
Starting in the Fall of 2012 SBAP will be offering FREE Coffee Talk Creatives. This is a time for neighbors, friends, artists, and visitors to connect on a thought provoking topic that encourages community based creative strategies that involve processes, products, discussion, and sharing of ideas. Please fill out this form below to let us know if you are interested in sharing or presenting a topic, or just let us know if there is a topic you would like to see us host.

It’s time to kick off our shoes and walk barefoot in the sand…….. or the African desert!  We will be looking  at images of the AWESOME African Desert and paint beautiful, dreamlike Safari Sunsets!

Mosaic Stepping Stones

Create a  mosaic stepping stone for your garden or just as decoration.  Student artists will learn about the ancient art of mosaicing, and how they can make their own mosaic.  Students will have experiences with mosaic tile of many shapes, sizes, and colors while designing and creating!  Students will also have the opportunity to mix their own concrete for their stepping stone,
this is great messy fun!


Beatnik Batiks

Join us for a class full of whimsical fun!  Student artists will learn all about the art of Batiking, and design, paint, and dye their very own wrappable, wearable scarves.  Guests are welcome to bring extra items
to batik such as pillow cases, and t-shirts.







Monet Inspired

This week we will be studying the world famous paintings by Claude Monet.  The Monet exhibit may be leaving the St. Louis Art Museum this week but Monet will still be fresh in our minds at SBAP.  Students will paint and draw with inspiration from Monet.  Students will have the choice to create a Monet inspired painting or scarf.
