GIFTing - Gift Certificates - Donate - Outreach | | | Pottery Open Workshop Pottery Open Workshop is 3 days a week on Thursdays & Fridays 12-7pm, & Saturdays 10-4pm. Guided, step-by-step instruction for all levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced students age 5-adult! Open Workshop gives students flexibility to drop-in anytime we are open, or reserve your time in advance. We feature different projects, techniques, and wheel throwing based on your type of pass and skill level. Passes are sold in 2, 5, 12, & 28 hour packages, and can be used in one, two, and three hour increments. MORE DETAILS... Clay Date Wheel Throwing 101 is offered on Friday Nights from 7-10pm. Experience learning something new and have a little fun in the process! Students may bring their own drinks and snacks too! MORE DETAILS... | | | TAP Teen Apprentice Project: TAP Teen Apprenticeship Project is a unique and FREE opportunity for teens 6th-12th grade to learn about pottery or fashion design. TAP students meet weekly where they gain hands-on work experience by working directly with an experienced teaching artist that provides a diverse repertoire of skills to add to their future high school, college and work submissions. As a policy we usually only hold onto pottery for 6 months, however we do still have fired and glazed pottery from last Fall 2016 thru today. Come in to pick-up soon though as pottery from made prior to May 2017 will no longer be available after December 16th 2017! South Broadway Art Project is a non-for-profit 501-c3 community arts organization and has a mission to teach young people and adults how to enhance their own lives and their community through art. We do this by offering affordable and free unique programming such as: Pottery Open Workshop and Fashion Design as well as a Teen Apprenticeship Project. By doing this we believe we can change lives and community through art! | | Community Conversations SBAP recently attended EVOKE a community centered workshop hosted by RAC with other area Arts Leaders, and Educators with the intent to work together to better serve the youth of STL. One program, one organization, and one instructor can make a huge difference but many programs, organizations, and instructors across many arts disciplines working together can make an even bigger impact on our region.
